The Translational Addictions Research Consortium has two main sites, with some people scattered across the nation. Our two main sites include UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and the University of North Texas.

TARC mainly focuses on alcohol treatment and the use of devices and technology to create sustainable and affordable care.

The Primary Investigator for TARC at UNT is Dr. Dougherty. Dr. Dougherty is an Experimental psychologist whose main scope of work is Alcohol Detection and Intervention with a focus on translational research. He has also been the UNT psychology department chair for a year.

Our current research includes a Breathalyzer validation study.
