Hours and gpa requirements

A minimum of 120 hours, of which 42 must be advanced.

2.5 GPA in psychology courses and 2.0 GPA in all course work.

Degree requirements

General/College Requirements

Must fulfill degree requirements for B.A. degree as specified in the General University Requirements as well as College of Arts and Science degree requirements

Major Requirements:

At least 35 hours of psychology courses, including

  • 17 BA Required Hours in PSYC 1630 (General Psychology I), 1650 (Biological Psychology), 2317/3317 (Quantitative Methods in Psychology), 3650 (Experimental Methods and Lab), and 4600 (History and Systems of Psychology)
  • 18 additional hours of psychology courses approved by faculty advisor
    • 18 hours must be taken at UNT ‚Äč
    • At least 12 hours must be advanced courses
