There are two APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Programs in the Department of Psychology. Each program is distinct with different faculty and different requirements. Our goal is to help direct you to the program where you will be the best fit. It is possible to apply to both programs, but we would prefer that you pick the program that best fits your career goals.

With respect to the UNT Toulouse School of Graduate Studies, our students earn the PhD degree in Health Psychology. Thus when you complete your graduate application, make sure you select Health Psychology, not Clinical Psychology. If you have any questions, email our graduate programs administrators, psyc-grad@unt.edu,and they will help you through this process.

You must complete both a departmental application AND a Graduate College Application. Links for both are provided below. The departmental application is a simple, electronic form, that you enter your information and save the file. To help you with this process, a detailed instruction sheet is provided. Be sure to use the instructions when applying. If you have any problems, contact psyc-grad@unt.edu and they will help you. You will also need to submit GRE scores, transcripts, a personal statement and letters of recommendation. This is clear on the departmental and college websites, but again, if you have any questions, email psyc-grad@unt.edu.

Our deadline is December 1. Please get all of your materials in by that time.
