Randall J. Cox, PhD is this year’s recipient of the American Psychological Association's (APA) Committee on Disability Issues in Psychology's Distinguished Contributions to the Advancement of Disability Issues in Psychology Award. Dr. Cox is a principal lecturer in the Psychology Department and serves as the Director of the Psychology Clinic. Dr. Cox played an instrumental role in recent social security administration requirements highlighting the scientific evidence regarding the importance of psychological testing in evaluations for disability benefits.
