Dr. John Ruiz's recent $1.63 million NIH-NHLBI grant, upcoming APA symposium on "Mentoring of Early Career Minorities in Health Research," and work on the American Psychological Association (APA) Division 38 (Health Psychology) Diversity Council is noted in the attached PRIDE newsletter. Dr. Ruiz participated in the NIH Programs to Increase Diversity (PRIDE) summer institute program for Mentoring Researchers in Latino Health Disparities this past August.
