Undergraduate & Graduate Training

Dr. Blumenthal and the Teen St.A.R. Laboratory are committed to the professional development of our undergraduate and graduate student team members. An ideographic and holistic approach is taken in the training process, characterized by flexibility, availability, and compassionate but constructive evaluation.

Depending on each student's developmental level, exposure to all aspects of the research process is afforded: from conceptualization and design to data collection and management and ultimately to oral and written dissemination. An iterative, didactic approach is employed across activities, providing increasing freedom as each student progresses with the goal of shaping independent scholars ready for the challenges of their next phase of professional development.
