Dr. Ruiz has taught widely across the University of North Texas including undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Psychology. His teaching philosophy emphasizes accessibility without compromising the integrity of the material. Dr. Ruiz uses a wide variety of presentation methods including lectures, small and large group discussions, multimedia presentations, technology resources, modes of learning, individual and expert panels, academic texts articles, and other mainstream publications. In additon, he often structures his courses to include lecture and group discussion/applied exercises to help students consolidate understanding and reinforce through shared experiences. Dr. Ruiz's approach to student evaluation is based on a student's performance in multiple contexts depending on class size.
