There are usually 2 social events of various formats (e.g., pot luck gatherings in Dr. Wang's house, field trips to museums, state parks, or other destinations, happy hours in local restaruants) in each long semester for all lab members to have fun and relax. Lab members are expected to attend at least one professional confernece each academic year in which some social gatherings (e.g., dinner or sightseeing) will also be arranged.
