This is the website of Amy R. Murrell, Ph.D. I am a member of the Clinical Psychology faculty at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas (since August of 2005).
I have taught graduate-level Cognitive Assessment, Practicum, Child Psychopathology, and a course about a specific model titled Psychotherapy Theory, Research & Practice. I also regularly teach undergraduate-level Abnormal Child Psychology.
I run a research team that is focused on Relational Frame Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. You can learn more about RFT and ACT at the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science website. **I will no longer be taking new students as I plan to leave UNT when my current students are finished with their training.**
I coauthored The Joy of Parenting, approaching parenting and parenting concerns from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy perspective. It is available from New Harbinger and can be purchased online from Amazon.com. Look around my website if you want to know more about me or my work!
